Important Shipping Information

All orders are subject to verification. We may contact you by e-mail or phone regarding your order. Please verify that you are receiving First the Wine's customer service e-mails. If not, please check your spam box/spam filter.

Please allow 1-3 business days for processing of your order. If you require expedited service, please call us at 323-937-9468.

If you live within the greater Los Angeles area, please call or e-mail to make delivery arrangements.

If you live within the state of California, we now ship approximately once a month via FedEx. We may delay shipments due to weather (extreme heat or cold). Please call or email to make delivery arrangements.

If you live outside of California, please choose HOLD FOR FURTHER SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS as your shipping method. Then email or call us to provide us with your UPS or FedEx account information. We will pack and label your purchase and have it picked up by your carrier approximately once a month, subject to weather conditions. Remember, we only ship within the State of California; all shipments to locations outside of California must be arranged by the purchaser.

Shipping charges are estimates only and are subject to correction. All orders require adult (21+) signature for delivery. Please review our Shipping Information and Further Terms and Conditions before making your purchase.

We reserve the right to limit quantity while supplies last. Prices are subject to change without notice. Not responsible for typographical errors.
Some things to know as you peruse our website:
  • We are an online only retailer. All our wines are stored in cellar conditions.
  • Since we only offer wines we like to drink you may not find what you’re looking for. Not a problem. Let us help you find what you want. Give us a call at 323.937.9463 or 323.499.8678.
  • Your purchases are stored at 55F and 65% humidity until ready for delivery.
  • We deliver locally in Los Angeles. Please call for details.
  • We ship within the State of California via FedEx. In general, we ship once or twice a month, depending on weather conditions.
  • We charge California Sales Tax on all purchases without exception. Upon purchase you take legal possession of the wine here in California. We are happy to help you arrange your own shipping by packing your wine in FedEx and UPS approved wine shippers. If you have a FedEx account we can generate shipping labels using your account number. If you are shipping via UPS you will have to email us your prepaid shipping UPS shipping labels.
  • We understand that our practice of charging sales tax is not the norm in online wine retail, but we believe it is the only responsible position. It is the State of California that provides essential services to our business.
  • A mixed-case discount of 10% applies to purchases of any 12 or more bottles. This discount does not apply to wines marked “No Discount”, “Sale”, or “Inquire”.
